Prey is the one thing that keeps the Clans alive. Each Clan has their own species that they are best at catching.

Birds

There are many different kinds of birds that cats eat. ThunderClan typically eats birds. Some species are starlings, magpies, wood pigeons, and thrushes. They are very hard to catch due to the fact that they can fly. They are known not to have much meat.

Mice

Mouse

Mice are one of the staples of ThunderClan's diet. They are the only Clan who hunt mice. Mice are different from rabbits in the way that they will feel the cat coming through the vibrations from their feet, rather than hear them. The cat's don't eat the gallbladder of the mouse, which contains the mouse's bile. Rather, they use the bile to remove ticks.

Rabbits

Rabbit

Rabbits are one of the animals included in the Clan cats diet. ThunderClan and WindClan are the main Clans that eat rabbits, though ThunderClan eats them only on occasion. They are extemely fast runners, and so WindClan's sleek frame and light bodies allow them to catch them without much effort. They have good hearing and smell, making them all the harder to catch.

Reptiles/Amphibians

Toad

Only one Clan typically eats reptiles or amphibians, and that Clan is ShadowClan. They hunt them in the dark parts of the forest. Frogs are great jumpers, which makes them hard to catch. Most cats dislike their taste, but the ShadowClan cats say that, once you peel the chewy skin off, it tastes like rabbit and fish mixed together.

Water Voles

RiverClan and ThunderClan are the Clans who eat voles. They can mainly be found at Sunningrocks. They are hard to catch because, if they hear danger, they will dive into a crack in the rocks.
