History

In the Super Editions

Firestar's Quest

Lowbranch is Skywatcher's and Twig's mother, and trained her friend Pricklenose's kits, while Pricklenose trained her kits. Her mother was part of the original SkyClan before it was destroyed, so her mother told her stories of SkyClan, and she passed down her knowledge of the lost Clan to Skywatcher, who was fascinated by her stories of SkyClan. When Skywatcher tells the other cats about his mother, Firestar thinks that her name doesn't sound quite like a Clan name, but not like any loner or kittypet name either.

Bramblestar's Storm

When Sandstorm speaks to Bramblestar about the journey to restore SkyClan, she tells of how Lowbranch's mother, a cat formerly of SkyClan, taught her about the warrior code, and Lowbranch passed this knowledge on to her kits, Twig and Sky-who later becomes Skywatcher.

Although not mentioned by name, it is mentioned on Cloudstar's and Skywatcher's page that she told Skywatcher tales of their ancestors who watched the full moon from the rock jutting over the gorge, cats that lived in different sandy dens according to their role in the Clans. Skywatcher lived just long enough to see his mother's distant memories reignite in the gorge.
