Deadfoot is a black tom with a stubby, twisted paw and a scarred muzzle.

History

Fire and Ice

In Fire and Ice, Deadfoot is introduced as the deputy of WindClan. He is first seen in the prologue and although his name is not mentioned, he is the one that finds the tunnel WindClan chooses to hide in. When Fireheart and Graystripe first find WindClan and try to convince the leader Tallstar to return, Deadfoot shows apprehension. After his doubts are quelled, he proves to be a loyal and valuble cat while bringing his clan home. Once in WindClan territory, he offers to escort Fireheart and Graystripe back to ThunderClan territory. They end up crossing RiverClan territory as a shortcut, but RiverClan attacks. Deadfoot is a formidible fighter in the resulting battle.

Rising Storm

In Rising Storm, Deadfoot was leading the patrol that intercepted Fireheart and Sandstorm as they were bringing back Cloudpaw. Deadfoot battled Fireheart, deputy to deputy, but Fireheart managed to drive him off. Deadfoot reported back to Tallstar.

The Darkest Hour

In The Darkest Hour, Deadfoot is badly injured in the battle of LionClan and BloodClan.

Midnight

In Midnight, it is shown that Deadfoot has joined StarClan. He is the cat that chooses the representative for WindClan, and chooses Crowpaw (the other members of StarClan object to this because he is only an apprentice) to go to sun-drown place as WindClan's representative.
